The Little Church with a BIG Heart

We Welcome You

We welcome you to Good Shepherd Old Catholic Church, a genuine and caring community that is affirming and inclusive of ALL people of faith.
We invite you to join us and celebrate God’s all-embracing unconditional love as we gather for the celebration of the Mass every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Because it’s not about rules, it’s about relationships.
Come, share our joy!
OUR LITURGY
The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist is not an earned reward for one’s behavior. It is a gift freely given by God to impart to all the baptized, whether affiliated or not to a particular denomination. Holy Eucharist is necessary for our salvation. Therefore, we welcome all to the Holy Table of Christ and do not refuse Communion to any person who seeks it reverently.

Christ did not refuse to feed the physically or spiritually hungry—neither do we.

Good Shepherd Old Catholic Church is enthusiastically committed to welcoming and including all people of faith in our worship and life. We invite you to join us each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. or “live-stream” on our parish Facebook Group Page as we celebrate the joyful sacred liturgy of our ancient, synodal, Old Catholic identity. Our Catholic life and worship are based on Christian community life as it was practiced in the early, unified Church.

Sacraments

Baptism

Baptism is offered to anyone wishing to become one in Christ, after prayerful consideration on the recipient’s part, minimal Christian education, and consultation with a Minister of the Word & Sacraments.

Confirmation

Confirmation is granted to any adult (13 or older) who wishes to join in fullness the Christian faith community after prayerful consideration on the recipient’s part, minimal Christian education, and consultation with a Minister of the Word & Sacraments.

Communion

Communion is open to anyone who wishes to be fed at God’s table and comes to receive in good faith and conscience.

Holy Orders

Holy Orders. We believe everyone is given gifts from God; this makes each of us Ministers. If you believe the gift you have been given is Holy Orders, we grant them to anyone who fulfills the psychological, educational, and other standards set by the Diocesan Bishop. We do not discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation or marital status. Please see a parish priest for more information on this process.

Reconciliation

Reconciliation is granted by God and through the human presence of a Minister of the Word & Sacraments, under the seal of full secrecy.

Marriage

Marriage is granted to any loving couple who have shown their commitment to each other by dating at least one year, after prayerful consideration on the recipients’ part and consultation with a Minister of the Word & Sacraments. Marriage is a sacrament of the Church, therefore, it is offered even if not through a State sanctioned marriage license.

Anointing

Anointing is offered freely and not only as last rights, but in sickness or injury. The sacrament of Anointing is a symbol of the anointing God has, as the Great Physician and Healer, working through human hands.

Funerals

Funerals are held upon request, to celebrate the life of those who have left this world and are with our Beloved Creator. Jesus said that we are to minister as he ministered to whomever believes. We strive to live by His command in love, grace, and charity.

We welcome you to a Christian community that loves without judgement
